INSTRUCTOR QUALIFICATIONS

LEAD INSTRUCTOR

The Lead instructor is an expert in neonatal nursing, medicine, or respiratory care and has at least two years of recent -- within five years – Level 2b or higher neonatal intensive care unit experience. The Lead instructor understands the content found in all of the S.T.A.B.L.E. Program modules at an advanced level. TESTING: Instructor candidates must pass the pre-test with a score of 70% or higher (test will be administered at the Instructor Course) and must pass the post-test on the first-try (no re-testing required), with a score of 85% or higher (the test administered at the Learner course you attended). If re-testing on the post-test did occur in your Learner or Support Instructor preparation course, then you are not eligible for Lead or Support Instructor so please do not proceed with this registration.

SUPPORT INSTRUCTOR

The Support instructor has at least one year of tertiary (level 2a or above) neonatal intensive care unit experience. The instructor is familiar with material in one or more of the S.T.A.B.L.E. program modules. TESTING: Support instructor candidates must pass the pre-test with a score of 70% or higher (test will be administered at the Instructor Course) and must pass the post-test on the first-try (no re-testing required), with a score of 85% or higher (the test administered at the Learner course you attended). If re-testing on the post-test did occur in your Learner or Support Instructor preparation course, then you are not eligible for Lead or Support Instructor so please do not proceed with this registration.

ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT

Assists with arranging and advertising courses / ordering materials and is NOT a member of the Teaching Team. If interested in attending this National Instructor course, please indicate you are registering as Administrative Support. No testing is required for this role.
